Official rules
The Fellows' Dossier Drawing
No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. Void where prohibited.
-
Sponsor
The drawing is sponsored and run by DropFly Inc. ("DropFly"). Questions go to rio@dropfly.io.
Grid110, Blackbird Alliance and Blackbird House are partners in the Blackbird Founders Fellowship. They are not sponsors of this drawing and are not responsible for it.
-
Who can enter
Accepted fellows of the Blackbird Founders Fellowship cohort whose Week 2 class is on October 21, 2026, who are 18 or older and residents of the United States. Employees, officers and directors of DropFly and their immediate family and household members are not eligible.
-
How to enter
Register on academy.dropfly.io with the fellows' access code during the entry period. If the form isn't working, email rio@dropfly.io with your name before the entry period ends, and DropFly will register you by hand. Either way, registering is your entry and costs nothing.
Limit one entry per person. Registering more than once does not add entries. Agreeing to in-class sharing (rule 9) is optional and is not required to enter.
-
Entry period
The entry period starts when registration opens on academy.dropfly.io and ends Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. For an entry sent by email, the time DropFly receives the email counts. A registration received after that is not an entry, though it still reserves the ebook AI for Startup Founders.

The drawing
On or about Thursday, October 15, 2026, DropFly will select one winner at random, using a random number generator, from all eligible entries. DropFly plans to announce the winner at Week 1 of the Fellowship.
These dates are planned. If a date changes, we'll update this page and email registered fellows.

The prize
One prize: one DropFly Dossier about the winner's business, with a business plan and a marketing plan built on it. Approximate retail value: $5,000.
The winner chooses one of two kinds:
- With your data: made with the company information the winner chooses to share with DropFly.
- Outside-in: made from public information only.
The more information the winner shares, the more accurate the Dossier can be. How it's made: research agents gather it, a second agent tries to disprove each finding, and a person at DropFly checks the important claims before you get it; every claim is marked and linked.
DropFly plans to have the winner's Dossier ready before the Week 2 class on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. If the winner chooses the version made with their data, delivery depends on when they share it.
The prize can't be transferred or exchanged for cash. If DropFly can't provide it as described, it may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
-
Winner notification
DropFly will notify the winner by email at the address used to register. The winner has 48 hours from that email to accept. If the winner does not accept in time, or is not eligible, DropFly will draw an alternate at random from the remaining eligible entries.
Before awarding the prize, DropFly will ask Grid110 to confirm that the winner is an accepted fellow.
-
Odds
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
-
Sharing findings in class
With the winner's approval, DropFly may show a few non-sensitive findings from the winner's Dossier during the Week 2 class on October 21, 2026. Sharing is optional and is not required to enter. DropFly will ask the winner again, in writing, before anything is shown. The winner approves each item one by one and can say no to any of it. Nothing is shown without that approval, and declining to share any or all items does not affect the prize.
Company information the winner shares to make the Dossier is confidential, and DropFly uses it only to make the winner's Dossier. "Non-sensitive" means nothing about revenue, costs, margins, customers' or employees' names, unpublished prices, or anything the winner shared privately.
Approved findings are shown on screen during the Week 2 class to the people in the room: fellows, DropFly staff, and any Grid110 or Blackbird House staff who attend. DropFly won't post them or use them in its marketing without the winner's separate written permission.
-
Taxes
If the prize's value is $600 or more, DropFly will report it to the IRS on Form 1099-MISC and will need the winner's Form W-9 before delivering it. The winner is responsible for any taxes on the prize.
-
Your information
DropFly doesn't sell the information you register with, and doesn't share it with Grid110, Blackbird Alliance, Blackbird House or anyone else, except to ask Grid110 to confirm that the winner is an accepted fellow (rule 7). It's stored with the services that run the site (Vercel, Supabase, and Resend for email), and a copy goes to Rio's DropFly inbox. We use it to send the ebook, run the drawing, email you about this class, and email you about the founder rate only if you ask. Ask rio@dropfly.io and we'll delete it. More in the privacy notice.
